Hyper-V and Network Convergence. Network convergence simply means that multiple traffic types are combined in a single communications channel. To a certain degree, Hyper-V always does this since several virtual machines use the same virtual switch, therefore the same network hardware. Cisco AnyConnect and Hyper-V - Connect to a VPN from Inside a VM Session the VPN connection does not pass through to the virtual machine I set up, using client Hyper-V on Windows 8.1 (update 1). May 03, 2016 · To allow the nested virtual machine to access the internet, we need to setup Hyper-V networking in the right why. For this we use the Hyper-V internal VM Switch and NAT networking. I described this here: Set up a Hyper-V Virtual Switch using a NAT Network […] If that describes your network, you will need to design your Hyper-V hosts to match. If your physical network doesn’t use VLANs, then don’t worry about them on your Hyper-V hosts. Do not create one Hyper-V virtual switch per VLAN the way that you configure ESXi. Every Hyper-V virtual switch automatically supports untagged frames and VLANs 1 First, on the Host, we need to configure the internal network adapter the VPN server will use to connect to the corporate internal network. 1. Open Hyper-V Manager, right-click on your Hyper-V Server and select "Virtual Switch Manager". 2. Create a new "External" virtual network switch. 3. Configure it as such in the screenshot.
