How To Scan With Nmap. Nmap is a great tool to learn, the application have the ability to scan and map networks and much more, it is a great tool for everybody that works in IT.. It is the first tool i use when i want troubleshot, we can do regular ping or a ping sweeps that scans a range of the subnet or the whole subnet. nmap - Network scan across multiple subnets and output I am able to run an individual network scan on each subnet but that takes time. I would like a way to kick off a scan that runs through all subnets once a week and gives me an output file with a list of names and IPs. (preferably csv) I have tried to do this nmap but getting a nice list of IPs and their corresponding names is not easy. Cannot ping in same subnet - Networking - Spiceworks

The syntax here is match text “1 packets received” and then print the second piece of text (separated by spaces) on the line. Since the output text is “PING 192.168.1.1” or then you are printing just the IP …
