I had been using the Checkpoint VPN client to connect to my customer's network from home successfully for the last 2 years. A few days ago, I lost Internet connectivity and unplugged my router. After I plugged it back in, I was back on the Internet, but I could not connect via VPN again. My employer uses Cisco VPN and that still works.

It solved the problem for me (Windows 10 Enterprise version 1809 Build 17763.475) but only after I selected the PPTP vpn type AND in the Security tab selected the MS-CHAP v2 authentication protocol. In the built-in GUI vpn client, you cannot even see the authentication protocol options—at least I could not find them. Oct 28, 2015 · My VPN client works. Once the connection established, I can pretty much browse anything in my work place. I have also installed Remote Desktop Connection Manager V2.7 and that works too. The only thing doesn't work is the Remote Desktop App downloaded from Microsoft Store. It just doesn't want to route via the VPN.
